The Hobgoods

In doing this webpage, The Confederate Cemetery List. My thought was to give my Son some history to read  and learn from. But in doing this Website I've found that all of You are in more of a need for this site, than was   first thought.

I'm Glad that this website has gone over as well as it has, And that all have been so receptive to it. For all that have visited and those of you that have Been part of the Submissions to this site THANK YOU. For those that us  it for Reference or just in hopes of finding your lost love ones, I thank you all for making this site what is it.

A part of history is in all of us and we in are hopes and dreams wish to pass along what we can of this history,   For me it is this website and my love of The history that it contains in it. I hope that someday we can find or locate all are lost Soldiers and be able to pay them the respect they deserve, But as we go along with time it seems to be much harder to do so, I will never stop flying my Stars and Bars, for my heritage and my history is in this flag and   I love the things that where fought for by are Confederate Soldiers there memory should no matter what be  forgotten or be little by those who do not know the true history of the Southern States.  If we should stop flying are flag because of Slavery, Then the original flag of Slavery should come down, That being the Stars and Stripes.

This is my own Voice on the matter, I'm the Descendant of 32 Confederate Soldiers and not one of them was able to own or would have owned a Slave. They were hard working God fearing men and did not believe in the  ownership of slaves, But one wrote in his Diary that he fought to save his homeland from people in the North who did not know him, but were bust telling him how he should live and how he should do things, he felt that his on people at home in the local government new what was best for him, not someone he had never met, he was a Baptist  Minister and a farmer who would do anything he could to help another person, This does not sound like a man who owned or fought to promote, further, or continue Slavery.

Below are some of my Ancestors and they Units they Served in, There names are posted here, So that There Memory will not be forgotten.
